This momentous occasion was marked with a little pre-ride tipple chez Mawds   

The ride then commenced with in true "footpath hooligan" style with a desecration of the park opposite King's Girls School 

Cheshire plains (well a hilly ride to the outskirts of Alderley Edge and Great Wharford) route started with a muddy trek down the Bollin valley (with a little off for the old fellow) 

Various route options then ensued from the Hare Hill area down to the bottom of Artist's Lane, with a few losing their way.     

Eventually we all made it to drinking hole one "The Stag's Head", despite instructions to seek out "The Navigation". It was full of Boris Johnson look-a-likes.

The second bout of "footpath hooligan" style behaviour was executed by the Thornton contingent on the return journey to Macc and a late curry at the Balti Kitchen. Prestbury Golf Course was subjected to a brutal "off road excursion" by those who are old enough to know better ;-)
