  Route : Zeneca snicket rendezvous - Middlewood way – Sugar Lane - Lyme Park West  lodge entrance - East gate exit  - Furness Vale – Chinley Churn  – Little Hayfield

Weather: Slightly overcast but the sun appeared for the finale of the day  

Pub: The Lantern Pike, Little Hayfield (within a stone's throw of Kinder Scout)      

 Items of interest :

• El pud declared the ride should be "free of faffing" and promptly caused the longest outage  with a pranged rear derailleur
• New & rare faces : Mr McCallum, Capt Morgan & Trevor "get the beers in" Jackson
• Fine ale on tap : Landlord & Blacksheep. But not a pint of Deuchars was consumed 
• At least one farmer was not pleased to see us ! (Dialogue as reported by Phil "Am I lost ? I wish you f*ckin were lost!")
• Two "over the bars offs" (Graham McC & Capt Morgan) on the tricky descent towards Hayfield  
• Capt Morgan tries to come to terms with modern women's ways 
• The most riders and bikes packed into a bus record ?
